Transformation

In this post I wrote about how every time I saw a butterfly I thought about my daughter and prayed that the Lord would do a transforming work in her life. When we met her in December, I was amazed at how different she was from the scared little girl we were told about. Now that she is home, the transformation is really remarkable. She has only been in a family for a little over 2 weeks, so I can't wait to see how much more she progresses.

Yesterday, I was taking Mia for a walk, when a beautiful yellow butterfly flew right in front of us. I immediately thanked God for what he has done in my daughter's life. She is no longer an orphan and she never will be again. She is a beloved daughter and sister!!

Here is the first picture we ever saw of her. Her sweet smile captured my heart the first time I saw it and she continues to capture my heart each time she smiles at me.
Most of the other pictures looked like the one below. She wasn't smiling at all in most of the pics. I just wanted to pick her up and love on her.
Now, here she is below in her new home with her family. She brings us so much joy.
She is so stylish. Every morning she wants to pick out a necklace to wear. She seems to especially love wearing dresses and skirts.
What a difference love makes!!!
