May Numbers

I am finally getting around to posting our numbers. We went out of town the end of last week. We had a fabulous time in the Ozark Mountains. I will post more about that later. April was a slow month for referrals, but we did manage to move a few spots. On the girl's list we are #

That is 6 spots lower than last month. On the siblings list we moved 4 spots so we are at #

I am also throwing in one more number just for fun. Today I am celebrating my 31st birthday.

This is not actually my cake. My sweet hubby bought me red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing from a yummy little bakery in town. He was off of work today, so he and Jax took me to eat lunch. Then I got to do some shopping all by myself. What a perfect day!

Sweet Big Brothers

It has been almost 2 weeks since my last post. I really don't have a good reason for it. The first week I was at the Orange Conference in Atlanta. It was a great week worshiping, listening to awesome speakers, and bonding with some fun people from our church.

Last week I was catching up on laundry and snuggle time with the kids. I have started to blog several times, but didn't have much to say.

I still don't really, so I will share a couple of sweet stories about my boys.

A few weeks ago when I was getting Sawyer tucked in bed, he was asking about when Mia would be home. I told him that I didn't know, but he will probably be 6 or maybe even 7 when she gets home, (he was 5 in March). Then, I said I hoped it would be sooner than that. He could tell I was sad talking about it, so he said, "Mom. don't worry. I will get her home soon." I asked him how he would do that and he replied, " I just won't have anymore birthdays until she gets home. Then I will still be 5 when she comes home." Oh, how I love his sweet heart.

Jax never goes a day without talking about his little sis. As far as he is concerned she is already a member of our family, she just lives some where else. He is not shy at all and every time he meets someone new he says, " My name is Jaxon. My brother's name is Sawyer. My dad is Justin and my mom is Meredith. My baby sister is Mia, but she lives in Africa." We for sure get some funny looks from cashiers, waitresses, etc. It does open the conversation for us to talk about our adoption, though.

Sweet Baby Girl,
You are already loved so much. Your biggest brother is willing to skip his birthday if it means getting you home sooner. Believe me, that is true love. Your other big brother is already smitten with you. He tells everyone he meets about his baby sister, Mia. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about you and pray for you. We don't even know who you are or what you look like, but you are very much a part of our family.
Much Love,
Mommy
